Tapeless / NLE Captioning

With NLE captioning, you simply forward a low resolution reference version of your project to us via FTP or YouSendIt. We use the reference file to caption the project and output a video file containing only the closed caption data. The file containing the caption data is then sent to you to be imported into your NLE system. When you output your video to tape, it will include all of the closed caption data ready for broadcast. You are in control of your project. In the end, you have a closed captioned master with absolutely NO generational loss with the added ability to output as many copies as you wish.
Closed / Open Captioning
AVANT provides closed and open captions for all types of programming. Your project never leaves our facility ensuring the highest quality product with the quickest turnaround times.
Pop-on: Captions pop onto the screen in block format and, at your request, are carefully placed so as to not interfere with graphics, screen text, etc. Captions are meticulously matched to the spoken word, and sound effects are inserted to enhance the experience of the deaf and hard of hearing. Studies have consistently shown the Pop-on style closed captioning is preferred by the deaf and hard of hearing viewers.
Roll-up: This style is primarily used in a single speaker situation. Captions roll onto the screen one line at a time, typically two or three lines in depth. Captions are meticulously matched to the spoken word and, at your request, are carefully placed so as to not interfere with graphics, screen text, etc.
Subtitling
AVANT offers the highest quality subtitling service for all types of programming. Share your English or Spanish project with audiences around the world. We offer a wide variety of formats and styles available on multiple formats of video and DVD.
Transcription
Out highly trained staff can produce a verbatim transcript of virtually any project. Our quality standards enable you to use our transcripts for any number of applications such as foreign translation, reference, viewer purchase, etc.
Duplication / Conversion
AVANT can convert your program to a range of alternative formats. For example, if you master is on DVCPRO 50, but the station needs DigiBeta, we will do the conversion for you. We work with many formats including but not limited to BetaSP, DigiBeta, MPEG IMX, VHS, S-VHS, DVCAM, DVCPRO, DVCPRO(50), Consumer DV, and several others. We are also able to duplicate and traffic your project to multiple stations to meet your airdate deadlines.
